Infrared electrochromic devices were fabricated by using the polyaniline-modified electrodes as the working electrodes. The WO3 film annealed at 250°C is amorphous and porous, exhibits a noticeable electrochromism with an optical modulation of 65.5 % at 550 nm. In electrochromism experiments, the transport of Li ions is a major factor that affects the electrochromic behaviour. The electrochromic device consisting of NiO and WO3 films greatly simplifies the fabrication procedure and exhibits better performance than the traditional device, which offers wide application. We developed a facile and high efficiency chemical bath deposition on the structure and electrochromic properties is discussed. Electrochromic devices based on electrochromism offer the advantages such as high reflectance without the need for external light sources, flexibility, portability and are lightweight. While electrochromism was discovered in the 1960's, electrochromic devices still unfortunately suffer various problems and have not begun to realize their full commercial potential. Rosseinsky: Electrochromism and Electrochromic Devices (Cambridge University Press, New York, 2007). Super cool video of electrochromism. Electrochromic materials, both organic and inorganic, have widespread applications in light-attenuation, displays and analysis. Electrochromism and Electrochromic Devices by P.M.S. Electrochromic devices (materials that change color when hit with an electrical charge), proton-exchange membranes for fuel cells, loading/delivery materials for biological applications, humidity sensors, and many other materials have been reported. Tungsten oxide is the extensively studied . Rosseinsky ISBN:9780521822695 With an extensive bibliography, recent. Toppare obtained his PhD (1982) degree from METU. A variable emittance device, vacuum-deposited as a solid-state monolithic thin-film system, can function as an electrically-controlled dimmable mirror in the IR region with reflectance in the 10-90% range. The application of electrochromic materials for smart windows, displays, and antiglare mirrors and several applications have been developed such as control of incoming daylight into buildings, smart windows, rearview mirrors, and aphotochromic and electrochromic devices [1–3]. This paper discusses the synthesis of an electrochromic device. His research interests include conducting polymers and his group has recently been involved in electrochromism, electrochromic devices and photovoltaic cells.
